Web Structures have been awarded the Punggol Digital District Project in Singapore.
Designated as an “enterprise district”, the PDD will be home to cyber-security and digital industries.
“The interesting structural challenges that Punggol Digital District presents relate to the multiplicity of end users who will benefit from the project when completed,” says Web Director, Dr Hossein Rezai.
In addition to a series of office buildings, a student hostel and highly digitally geared spaces, the site will have a complex underground station and two stretches of connecting tunnels, plus a bus interchange and a heritage trail. JTC Corporation has been appointed as a master developer to optimise land use across the development.
Design work is currently at the schematic and design development stages.
